A Breed Survey (aka Körung) assesses the breed value of a German Shepherd dog, aiming to gather information that can enhance, preserve, and promote the breed for breeding purposes.
The WGSDCA is the sole organisation in Australia who runs Breed Surveys as pursuant to the WUSV and SV Regulations.

A Breed Value Evaluation
The dog is assessed both standing and in motion, and its weight and height are measured.
All physical characteristics are captured such as its expression, bone structure, musculature, firmness of the back and ligaments, gait, rear drive and front reach, head, jaw and dentition.
The temperament, stability, alertness, hardness, courage, drive, gun sureness are also evaluated.
The dog must pass a sleeve-work assessment.
Dogs are generally surveyed at 2yrs of age. It will be surveyed for life ("Lbz") if surveyed again 2 years later.
Breed Survey Prerequisites

WUSV recognised pedigree.

Min. 2yrs of age within the calendar year of the survey.

Titles: Endurance, IGP1, ZAP-W for dogs born 0.1.01.2022

Show grading of at least Good, obtained no less than 12mo of age

Recognised hip and elbow scores for breeding.

WGSDCA Membership.

The dog must have a scorebook.
